Solec Kujawski is situated on the left bank of the Vistula River, 20 km from Bydgoszcz and 35 km from Toruń. There is one of the biggest forest complex - the Bydgoszcz Forest in the south of the town. The gmina area of 175,35 km² is inhabited by about 16 thousand people.
